Discover the sacred heart of Nusa Penida with our Spiritual Journey from Giri Sea Cliff Resort, a thoughtfully guided half‑day experience that invites guests to connect with Balinese Hindu traditions, limestone caverns, and village temple life.
Your day begins with a warm welcome at the resort and a brief orientation on temple etiquette and the spiritual significance of each site, after which our private transfer takes you to Ped village for a meaningful visit to Pura Dalem Ped.
At Pura Dalem Ped you will learn about ancestral ceremonies, traditional offerings, and Balinese temple architecture; guests may respectfully observe rituals or join a simple offering under the guidance of our local guide.
From there the journey continues to the remarkable Goa Giri Putri cave temple, where a narrow entrance leads into a vast limestone cavern used for major ceremonies. Goa Giri Putri is one of Nusa Penida’s most important sacred sites and an active pilgrimage destination for local Hindu communities; its enormous cavern hosts key rituals and festivals, and the site is revered for its spiritual presence and protective role in village life. Your guide will share the cave’s history and spiritual importance, and you will have time for quiet reflection or prayer inside the dim, atmospheric chamber.
After the temple visits you will return to Giri Sea Cliff Resort for a guided 20–30 minute meditation or mantram on our ocean‑facing terrace (weather permitting), followed by herbal tea and light refreshments to close the experience.
The package includes private air‑conditioned transfer, an experienced Balinese guide, sarong and sash for temple visits, coordination with temple caretakers, and small temple donations. Guests are required to wear modest clothing with shoulders and knees covered (sarong/sash provided if needed), and to bring comfortable sturdy shoes for uneven paths, a water bottle, and a torch or phone light for low‑light areas in the cave.
Please note the cave entrance and temple steps can be steep and uneven, so this excursion is not recommended for guests with severe mobility issues. We ask all visitors to follow their guide’s directions during ceremonies and to respect photo etiquette and local customs.
